WOBURN, MA — Woburn has been named a 2022 "Top Place to Live," in the upcoming issue of Boston magazine. Every year, Boston magazine's "Top Places to Live" showcases New England's most coveted communities, breaking down the current real-estate market into a guide featured in the March issue. The most recent "Top Places to Live" names 18 communities as Top Places to Live – examining each based on current trends, values, tax rates, and education systems. Woburn was recognized under the headline "Route 128 or Bust," as homeowners relocate to the 128 area in search of an easier commute and entry to Boston itself. Woburn was noted for its low taxes, local attractions and the new Woburn Village, which "features national retailers and restaurants such as Homesense and Cava, with more openings in the future." The Avalon apartments at Woburn Village also earned a mention. According to the magazine, the median single-family home price in Woburn is $630,000, with a residential property tax rate of $9.34.
