Two world-class alpinists are coming to Alaska and will be partnering with the Mountaineering Club of Alaska for an in-person, one-night-only presentation next Thursday (March 3) at the Bear Tooth Theater in Anchorage. Tickets are $15 and door prizes are being arranged. They'll be presenting a slideshow with live commentary about climbing during COVID lockdowns and their first post-lockdown trip, which brought them to Alaska to establish a new route on Mt. Huntington in the Alaska Range.
Among huge resumes, Ines Papert is a 20x international ice climbing champion and the first woman to climb the Mixed grade M11. Luka Lindic won a Piolet d'Or, the highest award in alpinism, in 2014.
