Press release from the City of Plymouth: August 11, 2020 The City of Plymouth will hold a free paper shredding event 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 at the lower-level parking lot of Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd. Vehicles must come from Fernbrook Lane to line up on 34th Avenue before turning right into the lower-level parking lot at City Hall. No left turns into the parking lot, for vehicles coming from Plymouth Boulevard, will be permitted. Residents must stay in their vehicles at all times. On-site staff will safely retrieve materials from each vehicle. Paper is shredded on-site at the event and is confidentially handled and recycled. Accepted Materials: Paper OnlyThe event is for paper only (paper clips and staples are also accepted). Residents must take their containers with them, including cardboard boxes or paper bags. Items not accepted include cardboard, three-ring binders, plastic materials, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, floppy disks and thumb drives. The event is for Plymouth residents only; ID or proof of residency is required. Residents are encouraged to wear face masks. The shredding event is being held in lieu of Drop-Off Day, which was canceled earlier this year due to COVID-19. This press release was produced by the City of Plymouth.
