Classic Rock/Metal Cover Band

Description

What's up!?! I'm a drummer from South Jersey and I'm looking to start a band (name unknown yet). I'm 19 years old so I'm looking to jam with people around my age range (17-30) but always willing to figure things out if you are older. I have been playing percussion since 4th grade, and drum set since 2017 and have gained a lot of knowledge through marching band, jazz band, my former metal band, and drum lessons. I'm looking for a lead guitarist + vocals (vocals not required but would be helpful), vocalist (if guitarist can't/doesn't want to sing), and a possible bassist (a major plus would be if bassist/vocalist could play some keyboard as I am looking to play some Rush songs in a few setlists). We would be mainly playing covers but if things go well enough, I am always open to song writing (covers are absolute priority, for now). I am aiming to play shows at small venues (bars, basements, parties, etc.) by fall of this year, with the possibility of making this a full time gig in the future. The first setlist I would like to play/type of music we'd play: Bulls on Parade- Rage Against the Machine Breed- Nirvana I Was Made for Lovin' You- KISS Tom Sawyer- Rush Babe I'm Gonna Leave You- Led Zeppelin No One Knows- Queens of the Stone Age Jumpsuit- Twenty One Pilots Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden Man in a Box- Alice in Chains Monkey Wrench- Foo Fighters (give or take a couple songs depending on how they long they want us to play) As far as the setlist goes this is all theoretical. Depending on the show we can add or not play certain songs depending on where/who the audience is. I am willing to play any classic rock, some pop, heavy metal, classic metal, as long as it is doable for the other band members. It is absolutely crucial that if you are serious about this, you need to be experienced enough to learn the songs all the way through, be responsible to own the proper gear(cables, cases, amps, mics, etc.) to bring to shows and practices, and reliable transportation to practices and show locations(this can be worked out otherwise if need be). Practice days would most likely be the weekend anytime during the day. I do not have enough room for a practice space where I am, so if you know or have an open space that would be greatly appreciated. I do know of a place to practice, but I believe it is $10 an hour so if that's okay with everyone, then it's covered. I am also possibly starting County College in Summer/Fall so show dates/practice dates will have to be precisely picked. If you have read this far and are still interested, please feel free to text or email me and I will respond as soon as I can. Here's hoping to awesome jam sessions, great live shows, and an overall awesome time!
