Description
SOLON, OH — There have been more than 900 COVID-19 cases associated with a Solon ZIP code, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
The 44139 ZIP Code has been home to 947 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. That's up from 877 cases last week.
The Ohio Department of Health confirmed its fewest new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours on Wednesday, though health officials said laboratories were battling technical issues that may have artificially deflated the count.
While new COVID-19 cases may be on the decline, deaths and hospitalizations related to the virus continue to surge. If cases remain on the decline, it could be a week or more before other metrics begin to decline in Ohio.
COVID-19 vaccinations began this week in Ohio. Gov. Mike DeWine believes Ohio will receive approximately 660,000 COVID-19 vaccines in December and another 660,000 vaccines in January.
