Hess Tent Rental is hiring to fill positions on our delivery and removal crews for tent and event installations. Duties involved will be the install and removal of tents of various sizes for a multitude of events. Additionally, assisting in the delivery of tables, chairs, installation of lighting, dance floors, staging, heating and cooling, and other accessory rental equipment as part of a crew. Applicant will not be required to drive company vehicles, although the opportunity is there for those who are competent and additional pay incentive for those who can. This position requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Flexible schedule is mandatory. Typical start time is 6:00am until 4 or 5pm, although those hours are subject to change with little to no notice. Applicants must be willing and available to work occasional evenings as well as some weekends, and be able to adapt their schedule from day to day based on event rental reservations that occur with short notice. There is opportunity for overtime hours. This position involves heavy lifting up to 90lbs and physical exertion. Reliable transportation is requirement to and from our shop in Manheim as the meeting point each morning, from which crews will then disperse to their respective jobs for the day. No prior experience in the event rental industry is necessary, only a willingness to work hard, long days, ability to be punctual/on-time, and an openness to change in schedule. Starting entry level pay is $17.00/hr. Those with any experience or the ability to drive company vehicles are eligible for more.
