Description

The Flora & Fauna art exhibit at Del Ray Artisans gallery, features local artists and explores the interdependence of plants and animals, combining art and environmental science. Join us on opening day, Friday, March 4, between 12-9pm for the widest selection of artwork by local artists. Mark your calendar now or set a reminder through Eventbrite (). The Flora & Fauna exhibit runs March 4–26, 2022 at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are Thursday 12-6pm, Friday 12-9pm, Saturday 12-6pm, and Sunday 12-6pm (closed the last Sunday of the month). Held in conjunction with this exhibit, attend the free online talk by Master Naturalist Chris Allgyer about Dragonflies and Damselflies of Virginia on Wednesday, March 9 from 7-8pm. (Registration coming soon.) Have you always wanted to try your hand at floristry? Register now for the “Flowers Everywhere!” workshop on Saturday, March 19 from 6:30-8:30pm. Instructor BWS Johnson will teach you how to level up grocery store arrangements and the difference in quality between wholesale and retail blooms, plus you’ll get to bring home your masterpiece at the end of the workshop.
