Rosie is 6, she will be 7 on may 7. She is overweight and needs to work on losing the extra pounds since she can’t jump up on things she used to be able to. She is an attention lover and will nudge you with her nose until you give her all the scratches! She is laid back and lazy, but loves a good adventure also! She loves to go exploring on our farm and at grandmas farm! She’s been an indoor dog her whole life and hasn’t had a single accident (or had any issues chewing on things/getting into trash) since she was a small puppy. She is smart and was easy to train. She does NOT like small children (under 5ish) and she does NOT like other dogs. She can tolerate other dogs, but she can also be aggressive, so she needs to go to a hole where she’s the only dog and where there are no small children. The reason we cannot keep her is because of this-she’s gotten increasingly aggressive with our other dog (same age and they’ve been together since Rosie was 6 weeks old) and she also growls/snarls at our children (2 and 4) and since we also are foster parents, we cannot keep a dog that is aggressive at all toward children. She’s currently living only outside and in our garage/mudroom, but it’s not fair to her to make her keep living in our house with kids and another dog that makes her miserable. It’s also not fair to her to make her live outside/seclude her to a single room of our house just to keep her separate from our kids and the other dog. We would like to still be able visit Rosie from time to time if possible, since we love her and will miss her! She is probably 45ish pounds, but I haven’t weighed her lately. She SHOULD lose 10 lbs at least. She is fixed and up to date on shots, and I can give her records to her new home. She’s gone to schlapkohl vet clinic ever since our old vet clinic closed.
