Sweet puppy - was abandoned

We think he’s about 4-5 months old, maybe Australian shepherd and retriever mix? We found him abandoned a couple weeks ago, skinny and cold. No microchip, and at a common pet abandonment site. He is very sweet and gets along with all dogs and people. He is also really tame with some little short bursts of energy. He seems smart and is learning verbal commands.
