International Paper Maintenance Mechanic FULL-TIME $26/hr, plus $2000 new hire bonus 6706 N 53rd St, Tampa, FL 33610 We are currently hiring for Maintenance Mechanics at our Tampa, FL manufacturing facility. This container plant manufactures corrugated packaging products. We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing in a fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on cleanliness and safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. Duties include: - Performing maintenance functions by making repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor. - Planning, obtaining cost estimates, and executes projects under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor. - Troubleshooting and performing maintenance duties such as mechanical and electrical repairs. - Provide training in areas of expertise or knowledge. - Responding to work orders submitted by employees. - Assisting supervisor in ordering parts. - Assisting supervisor in developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program. - Participating and executing actions from the quality improvement program. - Supporting the installation of new equipment and facilities improvements. - Working safely by observing safety rules, policies, and procedures and identifying unsafe conditions or actions to the supervisor. - Maintaining compliance with company quality systems and support audits. - Basic design and fabrication of repairs and process improvements. Key Competencies: Experience/knowledge in the following areas: Electrical circuit troubleshooting, PLC, Electronics, ARC flash, plumbing, steam and boiler, pneumatics, confined space, mobile equipment, Mig and Tig welding Ability to adapt to change Ability to problem solve and prioritize work Ability to bend, squat and kneel, and climb frequently Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours Ability to work with minimum supervision Ability to work varied hours/days Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs up to 70 lbs occasionally Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and interpret blue prints mechanical and electrical schematics, piping diagrams, in orthographic, isometric, and sketch-views Experience: At least 2 years of related mechanical experience working in an industrial manufacturing production environment required (corrugated industry is a plus) Schedule - Shift start: 7:00AM or 7:00PM - Shift length: 12 hours - Days: 2-2-3 schedule with a 3-day weekend every other weekend and days off during the week. Must be available Wednesdays for preventative maintenance.
