Girls on the Run of Montgomery County is proud to host LUNAFEST Germantown 2022! LUNAFEST is a short film festival by women for women. Join us for an evening under the stars with this outdoors film festival! We'll spread out on the great lawn as we watch the screening of eight short films showcasing diverse stories and highlighting the connections we all share. This event is hosted by Girls on the Run of Montgomery County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. All ticket and raffle sale proceeds will support the Girls on the Run scholarship fund, which makes Girls on the Run accessible to all girls who wish to participate. Play a part in strengthening our community and celebrating diversity in storytelling! Please see FAQs section below for BlackRock's current COVID protocols for guests. BlackRock Center for the Arts does not provide traditional seating for its outdoor lawn area. Guests are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets. Event Details: 7:15 PM: Doors open and happy hour begins! 8:00 PM: Film viewing begins. BlackRock Center for the Arts does not provide traditional seating for its outdoor lawn area. Patrons are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets. Guests are welcome to bring outside food to enjoy during LUNAFEST. There are numerous restaurants in the neighborhood that offer takeout! Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Films are rated as appropriate for ages 13 and older. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Complimentary parking is available in BlackRock’s parking lot (north side of the building). If you choose to park on the street side or in the parking lots surrounding BlackRock, parking is at your discretion. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please contact the Young Professionals Board at [email protected] What's the refund policy? Tickets are non-refundable. What is BlackRock's COVID vaccination requirement for guests? BlackRock does not require proof of vaccination or masking for outdoor events. However, guests who wish to enter BlackRock's facility to use the restroom must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask. All patrons under the age of 12 must wear a mask to enter the facility. At this time, we do not accept proof of a recent negative COVID test in lieu of vaccination. Types of proof accepted: You may present either your original vaccine card, a legible digital or hard copy You may present one of the commonly used vaccine passport apps that verify both your vaccination status and i.d. such as Health Pass, Bindle, VaxYes Digital vaccination cards through your home Health Department (check with your state/county’s Health Department if not listed here): Maryland, DC, Virginia Guests should come prepared with a government ID that matches the name on their proof of vaccination.
