Description
Reserve your spot in the pews for our hybrid service, also broadcasting live to Zoom With our new audio/visual system up and running in the sanctuary and COVID case numbers on the decline in Suffolk County, we're grateful to welcome folks to the pews for our Sunday morning service on February 27! There will be a limited number of seats available in the sanctuary to allow for distancing, and pre-registration is required. We welcome anyone to join by Zoom for any reason! We're delighted to be together in the sanctuary, but cautious, too. Keeping each other safe is our top priority. By registering for an in-person seat, you're agreeing to follow the church's current COVID-19 protocols. These policies may change as the COVID situation changes; these are the policies the Planning Ahead Team and Standing Committee have agreed upon as of December 2021. Anyone eligible to be vaccinated for COVID-19 must be fully vaccinated to attend church events inside the building. Boosters are highly recommended for those eligible. If you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive, you agree not to attend in-person. We welcome everyone to attend via Zoom, for any reason.Well-fitting masks must be worn at all times while in the building for everyone over the age of two. If you need to eat, drink, or otherwise take off your mask, we ask that you move outside or to an unoccupied room to do so. Seating in the sanctuary will be limited to allow for distancing between pods/households. Please keep at least six feet apart from others outside your pod. An easy-to-remember guide is if you can reach out and shake hands with the person, you’re probably slightly too close. Keep this in mind when joining a pew that’s already occupied. Given our reduced seating capacity, we ask everyone to sign up ahead of time for our Sunday and holiday services. Links to sign up will be in the church newsletter and on the website, or you can email or call Alisa in the office at [email protected] or 617-325-4439 for assistance. Please note that you're most likely to reach a live person by phone at the church office on Mondays and Thursdays between 2-5 PM. Newcomers are welcome at every service, but must still reserve a seat ahead of time. The sign-up will include your contact information in the unfortunate event that we need to do contact tracing from a potential COVID exposure. By attending, you also agree to contact the church office ASAP should you test positive for COVID-19 soon after attending an in-person event. To improve air flow in our historic sanctuary, windows and doors will be open throughout the service, so it may be chilly inside. Please dress accordingly. We may direct a flow of traffic through the space to limit crowding in entryways. Please be as flexible as possible in complying with requests from staff and volunteers, and let us know if you have accessibility needs that require you to use a specific entrance/exit.
