Join the City of Delta and Delta Libraries in a discussion about the design of a community Coworking and Makerspace! The City of Delta and Delta County Libraries invite you to:Delta Coworking & Makerspace planning Meetup The City of Delta and Delta Libraries need your input in the design of a community Coworking and Makerspace colocated with Delta Libraries in the Old City Market building on Meeker and 6th St. The Coworking and Makerspace intends to support entrepreneurs, community members, makers, job seekers, and employers with space to operate, machinery, and equipment for prototyping and skills development. Where: CB's Tavern When: Monday, March 7, 2022 4:00-6:00pm Who: Community members, employers, entrepreneurs, stakeholders Why: The organizers need input for the design and size of the spaces including what types of maker pods and equipment it should prioritize for the makerspace (eg technology - 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, sewing, electronics, food, metal fabrication, etc) coworking (shared office space) and meeting rooms. What to expect: Panel discussion: One Delta will host a panel discussion to include area entrepreneurs operating manufacturing businesses to get their insights on workforce skills and their entrepreneurial journey. Information gathering: Facilitated discussion to get input and answer questions Survey: To provide a detailed response Food and Drink! And networking. Appetizers provided. We hope to see you there!
