Part of Greg Bell's Celebration of 30 Years of Music Doors at 7 / Music at 8 The Sharks : Formed in 1981 , the Sharks were part of a new and exciting music scene in Albany NY. Originally a 7 piece band featuring a three piece horn section, the Sharks were set apart from the more minimalistic bands of the times. What they did share with the other bands was an audience hungry for original music. On any given night , there were people lined up around the block waiting to get in and dance to the horn driven tunes of the Sharks. On April 9,2022 the Sharks will reunite as a 7 piece band for the first time since 1991. All of the original players will return except for Tommy D’Ambrose who sadly passed away in recent years. Johnny Rabb and the Jaihouse Rockers : Johnny Rabb is a straight-ahead Rock and Roller in the tradition of the great American ‘50’s sound - the pure, simple, raging roots music that performers such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis and Chuck Berry captured. An artist with an extensive catalog, Rabb can bring audiences to tears with his ballads and to the dance floor with his fiery rockers. Rabb surrounds himself with the best local, regional and national musician s to form the Jailhouse Rockers and you never know who may show up to play.
