This program focuses on the additional benefits for both the patient and clinician when using Locators, the gold standard of overdenture abutments. Topics discussed include diagnosis and treatment planning with failing or terminal dentition, patient and component selection, processes, techniques, and views on different retention modalities with clinical cases. Handling zirconia, adjustments, burrs, and equipment. HANDS-ON INCLUDES: Armamentarium review, chairside pick up of overdentures, and Zirconia adjustment stations. He has over 35 years of experience working with crown/bridge and implants. Recently he has developed a Diamond polishing paste and special Diamond wheels that have made working with zirconia, emax, etc. significantly more efficient by creating non-abrasive surfaces on functional and non-functional areas. His extensive knowledge and experience in how to handle zirconia both in the lab and chairside have been invaluable when collaborating with doctors. Speaker: Gary Burton, CDT Gary Burton received his degree in applied sciences from TSTC Waco in 1981. Gary has owned his own dental laboratory as well as worked for Calcitek for 8 years, Astratech/DENTSPLY for 18 years, and is presently employed with Zest Dental Solutions. He has over 1000 hours of continuing education. Gary has worked with dental implants, attachments, materials in many aspects of the dental field since 1981. This includes the manufacturing of sub-periosteal, ramus frame, blade implants, and the restorations. Gary has lectured throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico. He has lectured for universities, study clubs, dental and dental laboratory associations.
