The Rev. Wil Gafney Ph.D. — scholar, pastor, preacher and activist — will be a guest lecturer at St. Stephen Presbyterian. The Rev. Dr. Wil Gafney, Womanists Wading in the Word™, is the Right Rev. Sam B. Hulsey Professor of Hebrew Bible at Brite Divinity School in Ft. Worth, TX, where she teaches masters and doctoral students in initial and advanced degree programs including MDiv, ThM and Ph.D. The R.W. Jablonowski Lecture Series reflects St. Stephen Presbyterian Church’s commitment to intelligent faith and scholarship by bringing the most advanced and innovative thought leaders in theology and Biblical studies to our congregation and community. Rev. Dr. Wil Gafney will give a lecture at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, from her new lectionary based on stories of women in the Bible, How We Hear Scripture: Lectionaries and Translations.
