Learn how to express yourself with painting. Give watercolor a try. Challenge yourself to try something new. **​*Ages 18 and up Want to learn how to express yourself with painting? Always wanted to give watercolor a try? Want to challenge yourself to try something new? Either if you’re completely new to painting, or have experience in other mediums, this course is for you. You will build a strong foundation and keep building your skillset in each class. We will cover how to select your materials, color theory and value, watercolor brush techniques, landscape composition, and much more. This course is focused on landscape painting. At the end of the course, each student will create their own replica of one of Monet’s most famous paintings. Clara de la Fuente, a Spanish artist living in Urbana, will be the instructor of this course. Clara has been painting in acrylic and watercolor for years and has shown her work in more than 10 art exhibitions in Champaign county. The course will be taught every Saturday 11am to 1pm for 5 consecutive weeks starting April 23rd. Limited spots! Cancellation accepted up to 1 week before the course start date.
