Join us for a live-streamed event unveiling a mural celebrating the work of Camila Chavez and the Dolores Huerta Foundation Join representatives of the Foundation, California policymakers, and former recipients of the Leadership Awards on Friday March 25, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to honor Camila Chávez of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, as a 2022 Leadership Award recipient. The live streamed recognition ceremony will include brief remarks from the Foundation, Ms. Chávez, and [policy makers name]. The event will conclude with unveiling a unique mural by artist [award-winning?] Brandon Thompson commemorating her work to strengthen underrepresented communities by training and inspiring the next generation of leaders. After careful consideration of the inherent risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19, we have implemented the following measures to promote the health and wellbeing of attendees and staff: Policies and procedures: The event will be outdoors, and we will require all attendees to show proof of vaccination upon sign-in and encourage attendees to maintain social distancing. How these were determined: We follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and guidelines from local jurisdictions. What’s expected of attendees: Wear a properly fitting masks, unless eating or drinking. We highly encourage N95 and KN95. Attendees can show their vaccination card or digital record.Self-certify that you have not tested positive or been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, and you do not have the following symptoms: Fever, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, sudden loss of taste or smell.As the situation evolves, so will our approach to keeping you safe.
