Press release from the Town of Westwood: February 21, 2022 JOHN J. CRONIN PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD- NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS This award is named for the late John J. Cronin, Town Treasurer, who for many years selflessly gave of his time for the betterment of the community, both as an elected official and in numerous volunteer activities within and outside the community. For nominations, please consider the criteria which the nominee should possess and use these as guidelines in your description: leadership; exceptional service to the community; years of dedication; strong work ethic; integrity; cooperation; diversity of service; volunteerism; impact on the town; and dedication to the Westwood community. Past recipients include: Barbara Delisle (2021) Steven Rafsky (2020) Michael Krone (2019) Patrick Ahearn (2018) James Gavin (2017) Nominations are due by March 7, 2022, and the nomination form can be found here. The award will be presented at the upcoming 2022 spring Annual Town Meeting in the spring.
