NEW MILFORD, CT — Police seized drugs and a fully-loaded pistol from the home of a New Milford man on Wednesday, they said on Facebook. Officers executed a search warrant at the New Milford home of James Anderson, 37, after what they called a "lengthy investigation involving the distribution of narcotics, specifically 'Crack' Cocaine from the residence." There, they found over 150 grams of marijuana, 6.6 grams of crystal meth, "numerous" Clonzepam pills — a prescription drug designed to treat seizures, panic disorder and anxiety — and a fully-loaded Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with an extended magazine. Anderson was charged with operation of a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm, alteration of firearm identification mark, and criminal possession of ammunition. He is a convicted felon on parole, police said, and was held on a bond. He had a Torrington Superior Court date scheduled for today. "Chief Cerruto commends Officers and Detectives for arrest of dangerous drug dealer!" New Milford police wrote on Facebook. "We have zero tolerance for drug dealers in this community!"
