Andover COVID-19 Positive Rate Still Falling, Back Below 5%

ANDOVER, MA — Andover's coronavirus case count and positive rate continue to fall rapidly, according to the latest Department of Public Health report. The town's positive rate fell below 5 percent for the first time since the Dec. 2 report. Over the last two weeks, 3.39 percent of tests in town came back positive, down from 5.09 percent in the prior report. There were 85 cases over the last two weeks, or 16.8 daily cases per 100,000 residents. In last week's report, the town reported 122 cases. >>MA Town-By-Town COVID-19: Lowest Case Counts Since August According to the town's report, there were just 26 cases in town from Feb. 17 to 23. As of Thursday's report, 89.8 percent of residents were at least partially vaccinated, 80.4 percent were fully vaccinated and 49.5 percent had received a booster dose.
