Blue Strike Environmental is looking for organized candidates with interpersonal skills for the position of Green Team Event Assistant. Event Assistants are responsible for working under the Sustainability Managers, assuming the role of event steward and designated areas for cleanliness, among other duties. Dates: April 7th- April 10th Location: Monterey Pay: $16-$18/hr. Event Assistants are on their feet and attend to the many needs of event-goers and volunteers, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels. We are looking for members to join our Green Team on a part-time basis with the potential to grow and learn more about the sustainable event industry. The preferred applicant possesses the following qualities: Ability to work weekends Ability to work in a dynamic atmosphere – no two days will be the same Willingness to be a part of a team Willingness to get your hands dirty Reliable Transportation Knowledge/education of recycling/waste diversion is a plus Experience working in events or organized settings is a plus Passion for sustainability is a plus Job Duties: Service Zero Waste Stations and haul waste to collection areas during the event Set up and remove waste stations on event grounds Other tasks as assigned Please provide a resume, a few sentences on why you are interested (no cover letter necessary), and the dates you are available from April 7th- April 10th.
