The City of Irving is hosting an environmental careers seminar to help interested folks get themselves established on a path that will lead to work in the public and private sectors. The event is scheduled for March 26, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and is suitable for soon-to-graduate high schoolers as well as older professionals looking to make a change. Amidst this latest batch of foul, cold weather, the City of Coppell closed its facilities at noon on Wednesday, and remained closed Thursday. The city reports an intention to re-open services today. Many other municipalities did likewise throughout the metroplex. (Star Local Media) With bridges and overpasses icing over throughout the DFW metroplex, a semi-trailer jackknifed on US-183 in Irving on Wednesday.
