BELCAMP, MD — Deputies with the Harford County Sheriff's Office saved a driver and his baby from a fiery crash on MD 7 recently.
The crash happened around noon on Feb. 16, according to body camera footage released Thursday by the sheriff's office.
A truck and car had crashed on Route 7 near Brass Mill Road, and deputies were the first to arrive.
"What they found was a semiconscious driver in a burning car with a child in the backseat," the sheriff's office reported. "Thanks to the swift actions of the Deputies on scene, with assistance from citizens, the driver and his son were able to be removed from the vehicle before the fire spread."

Senior Deputy Carlson, Deputy First Class Marks, and Deputy First Class Copeland showed "how our Deputies are making a difference in Harford County," the sheriff's office posted on its Facebook page.
Anyone interested in the job of a deputy can join the Citizens' Police Academy from March 23 to May 25.
