The Cypress Grove Dairy is no ordinary place. It’s a 36-acre home for more than 1400 goats to roam, a producer of quality milk for our creamery, and a source of knowledge for the growing American goat dairy industry. In fact, our team’s studied approach to herd and health management has earned us a 100% score for American Humane Certification and 100% exceptional milk production everyday. It took a lot of hard work and determination to get where we are today and we need a Milker to help us get even further. THE GIG Responsibilities: • Set up and prepare milking parlor for each milking shift. • Assist with routing and loading goats to and from the parlor, and into stanchion stalls. • Operate all milking equipment following SOPs and factory specifications. • After milking, clean and sanitize the milking equipment, scrape and clean the parlor and holding pen. Unlike most people, we care for live animals 24 hours a day in all weather conditions at all hours, including early mornings and shifts that are determined by our goats and their needs. This is no petting zoo. This job is hands-on, physically demanding, and technically challenging. We’re not like most people because we love working outdoors with our hands in an exciting fast-paced environment with motivated, hard-working, and caring teammates. We are aware that most people don’t have the opportunity to work with animals, on dairies, and in milking parlors; so we are more than willing to train the right candidate. Our dairy is state-of-the-art, which means that we utilize the most advanced technology to efficiently and calmly milk our herd.
