Description
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The Shaker Heights Art Council is rolling out a new initiative as a response to the changes brought about by the new coronavirus outbreak: Stay-in-Place Productions. The group said it wants to build community through arts during this trying time.
The Stay-in-Place activity is to collect and exhibit relevant images seen throughout Shaker Heights. Residents are being asked to take pictures of messages on doors and sidewalks, list the neighborhood where the image is and then submit the pictures to an online gallery.
To submit an image, Shaker residents should email the image to [email protected].
The images will then be posted on the council's website and on all their social media channels. Residents who want to share images via social media should use the hashtag #stayinplaceproductions.
Residents who just want to see what images get featured should visit the council's website or their social media channels.
Gov. Mike DeWine extended Ohio's stay-at-home order through at least May 1. There were more than 4,700 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state on Tuesday afternoon.
