Here are the top 3 stories in Charleston today: The Charleston Police Department is asking the community to help them identify five individuals who vandalized the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. The incident occurred at 95 Cooper St. on Dec. 11 with the five vandals caught on security cameras. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the department at the Team 1 office or by emailing Investigator Speers. (Live 5 News WCSC)The city of Charleston is preparing to build a $14 million underground stormwater drainage tunnel to address medical district flooding. The city will pay roughly $4 million of the total bill with the federal government paying for the rest. Once completed, the tunnel is supposed to be able to move three million gallons of stormwater allowing ambulances to reach the hospitals during heavy rainfalls. (Live 5 News WCSC)A Charleston law firm has started a nationwide class-action lawsuit against a laboratory that allegedly sold contaminated baby formulas. The Abbott Nutrition manufactured formulas were recalled by the Food and Drug Administration after it was indicated they might be contaminated with bacteria. The lawsuit alleges that the company knew about the contamination for four months before anything was done.
