MORRISVILLE, PA — The Falls Township Police Department has arrested two sisters who were allegedly involved in the burglary of a home in Morrisville on Thursday, Feb. 24. Julia and Shannon Meshel turned themselves in to police after the two were wanted for the burglary of a home, with one sister allegedly assaulting the homeowners in the process. According to police, the initial incident occurred on Friday, Feb. 18. Julia Meshel, who had been known to local police, gained entry to the home, located in the 8300 block of Windsor Drive, through a window. When she entered, the two homeowners, a man and a woman, were alerted. When confronted, Julia began swinging a broomstick at the two. The man was able to grab it from her during the confrontation, but only after they had both been hit by the broomstick. Julia left the residence, grabbing a wallet and keys belonging to the woman. As she left, Shannon picked up an object and threw it at the male victim's car, which caused minor damage. The two fled the scene. Officers were unable to locate the sisters after the incident. After turning themselves in, the two now face charges of burglary and other related charges, according to police. Both sisters were arraigned before Judge Wertman and released on $25,000 unsecured bail. The judge advised the two to not contact the victims.
