MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Maple Grove girls hockey team's quest for a state title came to an end in the quarterfinal round Thursday after a 2-1 loss to Gentry Academy. Crimson junior Stella Retrum opened the scoring 6 minutes, 50 seconds into the second period before Gentry Academy's Jenessa Gazdik equalized later in the period. The Crimson pulled its goalie with just under two minutes left in the game but could not find a goal to force overtime, according to a report by the Minnesota State High School League.
