Description

Press release from Covelli Centre: February 25, 2022 Join us as we fight to #PROTECTDOWNTOWN and the quality of life we have all worked to build in Youngstown through capital improvements such as the Covelli Centre, Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, Wean Park, the planned Lincoln Park project and the future improvements of the Mahoning River – all of which are now being threatened by the impending high tension power line project. The installation of these power lines along the Mahoning River, which is currently being considered by the Ohio Power Siting Board would render these facilities useless and halt any future improvements to what has become Youngstown's largest sports, entertainment, and convention area. Relocation of this project is necessary to the continued prosperity of downtown Youngstown that has a lasting impact on the entire city.   Join us on March 2nd in the DoubleTree by Hilton Community Room (located in the Covelli Centre) at 4 pm for our Protect Downtown Community Engagement Meeting to learn more about the scope of the high-tension power line project and how it will affect your life in downtown Youngstown if it is not relocated   https://fb.me/e/3jYiQ6tIL   This press release was produced by Covelli Centre.
