Press release from the City of Albany: 02/24/2022 5:00 PM The following provides a summary of actions taken by the City Council as part of the regular meeting on February 22, 2022:  Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Annual Audit for FY 202-21: The Council received the presentation of the ACFR and Audit for FY 2020-21. The Council also reallocated and appropriated surplus General Fund fund balance to (1) establish and allocate fund to a Climate and Adaptation Plan Reserve Fund, (2) pay down the City's outstanding liabilities with the California Public Employee Pension System, and (3) refer to Financial Advisory Committee the rest of the potential surplus allocation reserves to consider and make recommendations to Council. Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Racial Equity Survey: The Council authorized the issuance of a Request for Qualifications - Professional Services for Characterizing Albany's Racial Equity and Advising on Next Actions. Council established a Council ad hoc committee (Jordan/Gary) to advise on outreach marketing the RFQ and evaluate responses to the RFQ with staff according to the criteria in the RFQ and the recommendation from the Social & Economic Justice Commission.   Next Regular City Council Virtual Meeting is scheduled for MONDAY, March 7, 2022 at 7:00 PM.  View City Council meetings (KALB video Link).     This press release was produced by the City of Albany.
