AUBURN, AL — Auburn University has a new member of its Board of Trustees after the Alabama Senate unanimously confirmed the appointment of Trussville's Zeke Smith. A Trussville Tribune report said Smith will serve for a term of seven years, which began February 16.
Smith takes over the seat previously held by Charles D. McCrary.
Smith graduated from Auburn in 1982 with a degree in industrial engineering, and serves as company's executive vice president of External Affairs at Alabama Power. Before his current role, Smith served as vice president of Financial and Regulatory Planning, vice president of Regulatory Services and director of Regulatory and Pricing.
