Sweet Malamute looking for Home

My partner and I adopted an 8 year old malamute from animal control last November but unfortunately she is still not getting along with our cats as we had hoped. The children in our apartment complex seem to really like her and she’s very gentle with them. She does NOT like other dogs. She is very gentle on a leash until she sees another dog but I have been training her to be less reactive and she has improved a lot. She does have hypothyroidism but is on medication It is not due for another blood draw until at least November. She comes with toys, a collar, harness, leash, and her medication and food. She is very gentle other than the cats and other dogs and likes to snuggle occasionally. I think it would be really good for her to have a yard to lay in the snow and be outside in the summer. She only requires about 30 minutes of exercise a day because of her age. She’s super fun And when she gets settled she is very good about talking to you when she needs to go outside. She’s only gone in the house one time. It is very hard to rehome her but we can’t have her and the cats fighting all the time that’s already cost us a lot and vet bills.
