Lead guitarist looking for compatible bandmates. Need drummer, bassist, singer and possibly keyboardist. Would consider joining existing band. I’m a 60 year old retired technology professional, play guitar daily, and appreciate the process and art of making music. The Music: I play blues based rock, southern rock, blues and R&B. My musical tastes are far more diverse though. Looking to play music we love, do it well, but still make it our own and not be a note for note cover band. I’d like to also do a few originals, and some improv jamming. Goal #1: To meet and play with kindred musicians. Must be a decent, kind, and honest person who has successfully navigated through life. Prefer those constantly working at improving their crafts. If you are already in a band, but just not getting to play the music you love and would like a side project, this may be a good outlet. If you need a regular gig for ego or income this is not it. Goal #2: Would like to build up a song list and eventually gig out a dozen times a year. Not looking to be in a every weekend bar band, or travel much beyond the greater Milwaukee area. Thinking more of private parties, festivals, etc. Maybe the occasional early evening bar gig. Just not into being out at 2:00AM anymore. No daily drinkers or drug users. Our family is vaccinated, and I expect that you are too. Politics: Hate to have to cover this, but times have changed. We fly the US flag, not a fan of any of those bastardized versions or being told to worship a particular politician, business person or cable news talking head.
