ADP Resources LLC is a specialized consulting and design firm based in Dallas, Oregon. We offer outside plant engineering, CAD/GIS design services, permit services and personnel services for customers and the telecommunication industry. We are looking to add two Field Technicians to our OSP (Outside Plant) Department. No related work experience is necessary, employer is willing to train qualified applicants. What you will do: This position will locate, sketch and document detailed information from cables, poles, ground structures, terminals, manholes, etc. and will complete administrative tasks relating to the processing of field data and submission of pole permits for projects. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED Minimum eighteen (18) years of age Valid driver's license to drive company vehicle multiple days per week Ability to solve basic mathematical problems and make correct math calculations Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) Ability to operate a smart-cellular phone and use features and applications related to the position Ability and willingness to travel out of state for up to 2-weeks at a time, periodically through the year (per-diem and accommodations provided by the employer) Requires a varying schedule to meet the needs of the client, overtime will be required, and occasional evening and weekend work may be required The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independent of daily supervision; detailed, organized, with the ability to follow-through, be a skilled communicator, able to multi-task and change directives quickly, with a willingness to learn and become self-reliant. Employer Notes: This position does not require a COVID vaccine. A DMV records check, background criminal history check and drug screening will be completed the first week of employment. The applicant will be asked to provide a copy of DMV records, if offered a position. The employer will conduct a basic measurement test, (test example: Subtract 40” from 50’) and may test for computer/phone skills at the interview. Job Duties: Perform responsibilities relating to projects of telecommunication customers Locate, sketch, and document detail information of outside plant facilities: including cables, poles, ground structures, terminals, manholes and equipment Use computers and a smart phone to navigate, enter, access and retrieve data and send emails Read, analyze and interpret maps Measure attachment heights, span distances, and structure dimensions and distances from existing/proposed OSP facilities Take measurements, field notes, and produce sketches for TCP (Traffic Control Plan) designs Identify bonding and grounding requirements Review maps and drawings of projects to help verify quality of data Work with internal staff, customers, contractors and pole owners to resolve conflicts Use a variety of web applications including Google Earth/Google Maps Working Conditions: Work requires: the ability to intermittently walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach while performing duties; Walking for two (2) or more miles per day carrying equipment in all types of weather; Driving 50% of time throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley and the Pacific Northwest; and The ability to lift and maneuver up to twenty (20) pounds frequently and up to (50) fifty pounds occasionally.
