Next Tues is Marci Gra! I been listen to WWOZ radium on the web and wishing I was back in da Big Easy to play some funky Nawlins music. But, y’all are missin this, too, then I’m down to hook something g up for a last minute gig/party/??? I play bass and sing. I’ve performed Nawlins funk for many years, Had a band with two established Nawlins musicians — called SwamSoul — that played lots of good rooms and headlined a couple festivals about 8/9 years ago; also played with some Bay Area folks doing this stuff (e.g., Johnny Harper, Al Lazard). If you got something I can slip into, please hit me back. I can bring a few lead vocals to the stew. And, if y’all got a drummer that can give up that second line beat, I’ll be right there with it!
