female vocalist looking for laid back musicians who can meet and work together (no drugs/drinking/ego problems please) This is to form a working band playing songs in the style of Aretha Franklin, jazz standards, and more 2000s and later stuff like Alicia keys, and other female pop/latin pop hits. I am still in the beginning stages of booking shows and getting this together, so please send me some links or whatever you'd like, and I will keep you posted (don't be discouraged if I don't reach out right away!). what I'm NOT looking for/to do: - "stoner"/60s and 70s rock or punk - people who just want to fill in and make a quick buck - retired or doesn't want to do gigs, or too overworked and cannot ever be available - people who don't want to get to know my name or attend a rehearsal even if it's just once a month what I AM looking for/to do: - play gigs in the near future (hopefully in the next month or so) around the Metairie, Kenner, Mandeville/Covington/etc areas - people who are willing to build friendships/musicianships and take the time to care and see if we vibe, see if we play well together - people who are already proficient in playing or have had some gigging experience is great
