POSITION SUMMARY: Recycling styrofoam via a multi-step process using specialized machinery. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Unloading styrofoam delivered in trucks. -Feeding styrofoam into a machine which turns the product into bricks. -Collecting bricks and inserting them into a shredding machine (can be physically strenuous) -Bagging shredded product and storing it away. -Sweeping facility of any Styrofoam debris, keeping general cleanliness. REQUIREMENTS: -Ability to work 12 hour shifts. -Forklift experience is preferred. -Ability to stand for an extended period of time, withstand constant movement. -Work performed in a recycling plant setting. Job may require extended hours and shift work, with exposure to production machinery, high noise level, and constant standing on concrete surfaces. LENGTH OF POSITION: This is an on-going assignment.
