Description
Dwarf water lettuce (DWL) is an easy-to-care-for floating freshwater aquarium plant that provides cover for fry and shy fish and also filters the water.
The picture with the measuring tape is an example of what you will receive for $5 - several plants of varying sizes.
These plants float on the water's surface and have stringy white roots that feed from the water column - no planting required!
When in an aquarium with low water flow, DWL will grow to six inches wide and their roots will grow down the entire water column, creating a neat forest-like effect. They occasionally have tiny white flowers. They reproduce easily by sending out shoots of baby plants that can be removed from the mother or left attached.

Please note that all of my aquariums have duckweed (tiny green plants) and ramshorn snails. I try my best to remove them from what I sell, but cannot guarantee that I'll catch everything. Duckweed is a tiny plant that some people do not like to have in their aquariums (it grows like weeds!). Some people do not like having snails either, but they are harmless and actually beneficial to the plants.
Thanks for looking!
