Apply at Job Description: Carpenter Helper / Laborer Summary: Carpenter helper assists the lead carpenter or carpenter with various tasks in completing the project they are working on. As a carpenter helper, you work both in homes and outside on construction sites, using many types of hand and power tools. Duties include but not limited to completing basic demolition, cleaning up and preparing work sites, delivering materials, and setting up ladders and temporary structures. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform a variety of related carpentry and repair duties at various job sites as required. • Follow through on verbal and written work orders as directed by the Project Manager, the lead carpenter, company owner or the carpenter. • Demonstrate safe work habits and knowledge of safety rules and instructions while performing job functions. • Track inventory including identifying, cataloging, and procuring necessary materials to complete the assigned project. • Maintain carpentry tools and equipment. • Operate equipment efficiently and safely. • Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager, lead carpenter or carpenter. • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite. • Remember “If there is time to lean there is time to clean” * Must have your own reliable transportation to and from the shop in Macungie, PA. (Not "I have a ride" * Must have a professional appearance and professional job etiquette * Must have good communication skills * Must follow through with the job from start to finish FAQ's: * No experience is needed but helpful. * You will learn to become a carpenter. * Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30-4pm * We pride ourselves on setting realistic goals and schedules to avoid weekends at any cost * Our focus is to offer livable wages, not on struggles.
