DEL MAR, CA — A pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak train and seriously injured over the weekend in Del Mar, authorities said Monday. The collision was reported at 2:50 p.m. Saturday near 8th Street and Stratford Court, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The pedestrian suffered "serious injuries" and was taken to a hospital, sheriff's officials said.
