Description
ENCINITAS, CA — Patch reader Mike Callihan captured this photo of a peregrine falcon on the bluff north of Moonlight Beach in Encinitas.
"It is known as the world's fastest animal capable of diving at its prey at speeds up to 240 mph," he said. "This is the male. The larger female flew up as I was walking home after capturing this image."
