Beginning Friday, Sept. 18, voters can cast absentee ballots for the 2020 general election. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it's our goal that every eligible Minnetonka voter can cast their ballot safely and securely.
Here's how you can vote absentee:
In-person at the Minnetonka Council Chambers Sept. 18–Nov. 2, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Park at the community center (14600 Minnetonka Blvd.) By mail Apply online to receive an absentee ballot and instructions. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 10 to count. Please consider mailing from the post office or a blue postal service box. Ballot drop-off Absentee mail-in ballots can be dropped off with an election judge during in-person absentee voting at the community center (lower level). Visit our elections page for complete details. COVID-19 precautions Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. We'll have masks available and will provide hand sanitizer and pens for each voter to use and keep. Election staff will follow CDC guidelines, wear personal protective equipment and disinfect surfaces regularly. Ranked choice voting On the November 2020 election ballot, Minnetonka voters will be asked to consider adopting or rejecting ranked choice voting for city elections (mayor and city council).
