Mass. Climate Legislation Update, Part 1
In March, MetroWest Climate Solutions will offer a two-part series featuring the Senate and House Chairs of the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities, and Energy (TUE) at the State House. These sessions offer a unique opportunity to hear from some of the State’s most influential legislators on climate legislation.
On March 2 at 7 p.m., State Senator Mike Barrett and Professor Chris Knittel from MIT Sloan School of Management will present an overview and discussion of proposed climate and energy legislation being considered during this session at the State House. Sen. Barrett serves as the Senate Chair of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy. He represents the 3rd Middlesex District in the Massachusetts Senate, including Bedford, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Lincoln, Waltham, Weston and large parts of Lexington and Sudbury.
Prof. Christopher Knittel is the George P. Shultz Professor and a Professor of Applied Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management. His research focuses on industrial organization, environmental economics, and applied econometrics.
