March isn't the nicest in Wisconsin, but the kitchen can warm your hearth and body well into Spring. And we can think of no better way than with chewy, crunchy, soft, sourdough bread. Join us with Guest Star Chef Hans Hansen as he imparts his many years of knowledge in perfecting the homemade sourdough loaf. We will discuss the history of making sourdough, and those time tested techniques that still apply, and those that can go with modern ways instead. Chef Hansen will show you how to mix, knead, and properly rise your dough for the best loaf you can then simply make when home. In addition, he will show you simple tricks and tips for an aesthetic loaf that your family can't resist. Class includes hands-on tutorial, recipes of old world and Hans Hansen's Special sourdough, and a sourdough tasting to cap the evening. Must purchase tickets in advance, and space is limited.
