A multi-media presentation that reveals how “woke” racism and social indifference impacts racial justice in Delaware County
Ulysses “Butch” Slaughter, his family and his friends have a very uncomfortable and a very important Delaware County story to share. On the anniversary of the assassination of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Ulysses, his friends and family will passionately reveal how system abuses, “woke” racism and social indifference scarred their lives and continues to defer King’s dream in this county. Topics to be discussed include interracial relationships, police activation, mental health and academic apathy. This very intimate multi-media event is a call to conscience and an opportunity to illuminate the dark deeds that prevent true racial healing and social justice right here in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
Activists, educators, social workers highly recommended to attend. Lincoln University, Penn State and Quaker community members also encouraged to attend.
