I am new to the area, have been a professional jazz and orchestral bass player living and working out of NYC for 40 years. I graduated from Juilliard and have a Master of Music degree in Jazz composition/arranging from UMass. I have recorded for Joe Zawinul, Pat Metheny, and Paul Simon, as well as many classical groups. I am an excellent teacher of private lessons for SERIOUS students that will learn all the often overlooked but much needed skills for improved technique on ones instrument as well as general advancement of musical capability. In addition, my coaching sessions specialize in helping people/groups learn to play with other musicians more effectively and make any style of band (jazz/rock, etc.) come together as a powerful, precise and "locked in" unit of high musical quality.
