An Irish Whiskey Tasting event. It is almost St. Patrick's day and Whistle Pig University is pleased to announce Irish Whiskey School, Wednesday March 16 at 6 PM. We have never shied away from a raised glass of quality spirits and this school promises to provide not just some education on good Irish whiskey, but also some great food, good friends and the occasional limerick, traditional Irish toasts. When the class bell rings on March 16th, this is definitely not the class you want to miss. We will welcome instructors Brad Beck and Melissa Ray from the Whiskey School. They will take us on a tasting and educational journey to explore Irish Whiskies and single malts from distilleries all over Ireland. We are keeping the specific selections to ourselves, but the evening will include a sampling of 4 Irish Whiskeys, 2 additional surprise tasters, and more. Join us at 6 PM for a dinner of Shepard’s pie made with Whistle Pig’s Morning Fog Stout. This comes with a side of succotash and a pint of Whistle Pig’s finest. A vegetarian Shepard’s pie option is available as well. At 6:30 class begins with a traditional Irish toast and a shot of Jameson, perhaps the best known and loved of all Irish Whiskeys. The night will include a couple of bottle giveaways and a chance to win tickets to Whistle Pig’s Wine school in April. Seating includes community tables and will be assigned in the order tickets are purchased. Catering for this event will be provided by Chef Dani of The Uncommons. Tickets are just $40 each and as usual, we are committed to over the top value and surprise. If you have been to a Whistle Pig school, you know it will be amazing and fun! We are a community oriented brewery located in the Patty Jewett and Bonneville neighborhoods of downtown Colorado Springs. We look to bring tasting and social events to the community through our brewery and the plaza we share with so many great businesses.
