Anyone selling you a "Blue or Red Nosed Pit" is scamming you!!!!!!!! "Pits" are not a real breed of dog, and the color of their nose happens by chance. It literally means nothing, and there is no valuable reason breeders charge extra for colored noses. "Pits" are just mixed American Staffordshire Terriers. If the dog weighs 35lbs or less, it is probably a British Staffordshire/Staffordshire Bull Terrier. American Pitbull Terriers are not recognised as a pure breed in the US because there are no official breed standards, and there is no pure enough bloodline to establish breed standards. The UK only recognises them as a breed to continue BSL. Nobody selling "Blue Nose and Red Nose Pits" is a legit breeder, and their dogs are never "pure bred." They are charging you several thousands for dogs that follow zero breed standards, high risk for inbreeding, and high risk for genetic problems. If you want a "pit," and you're too Gucci for rescue, look for reputable breeders of American Staffordshires or British/Bull Staffordshires. They are your best bet for a "pure bred" and healthy bully breed. Spread the truth about "Pits," and stop calling your dog a "pit" because that's not what it is.
