Based on this premise Madame Stewart shared her dream with Josie Taylor, Ozell Taylor Johnson, Eddie M. Johnson, Stella Collins, Lorene B. Lancelin, Judge Alice A. Bonner and Dr. Hortense W. Dixon. On February 7. 1975, these women agreed to encourage youth and women to strive for excellence; to maintain high moral and ethical standards and to make outstanding contributions in the fields of medicine, law, religion, business, politics, music, education, dentistry and other career fields of choice. From that day, Achievers have planned together to reach decisions to accomplish the highest service to one another, our youth and our country. The programmatic thrusts of the National Women of Achievement, Inc. are Youth and young adults; Status of Women; Service to the Community; Senior Citizens; Political Awareness and Assault on Illiteracy. The National Women of Achievement, Incorporated- Sugar Land chapter 's current president is Veronica Devonish. The Sugarland Chapter was chartered on July 15, 2015, forty years after the inception of National Women of Achievement, Incorporated.
